
Since 1991 Edward has worked in the energy industry. Over his 35-year tenure, he has
worked for Fortune 100 corporations, various utilities and several energy consulting
firms. Ed’s primary focus is energy supply risk management for medium and large
commercial and industrial end-users. Over the past decade he has expanded his

worked for Fortune 100 corporations, various utilities and several energy consulting
firms. Ed’s primary focus is energy supply risk management for medium and large
commercial and industrial end-users. Over the past decade he has expanded his
expertise to now include: renewable energy programs and services, Battery storage
installations, EV charging stations, demand response opportunities and LED lighting
retrofits. Currently Edward and his wife Amy own ALTO Energy. ALTO provides energy
procurement and consulting services to nearly 100 commercial & industrial customers in
New York and 4 other states.
Ed was honored to advocate and represent Western New York for 15 years in both local
and state government. Now he utilizes this public service background to consult ALTO
clients on the rapidly changing regulatory environment in the energy industry. Edward
was elected to the New York State Senate from 2020-2022, after serving 13 years in the
Erie County Legislature.

With a background in sales and entrepreneurship, Amy has spent over 20 years
learning the business of energy. Since 2019, she has worked as an agent for local
escos, focusing on small to mid-sized commercial clients. With Alto Energy Consulting,
Amy has expanded her client base to include solar energy programs and EV charging
opportunities.

Amy is also the owner of Celestial by Amy Rath, a pop-up fashion boutique since 2010. Through this adventure, she has raised thousands of dollars for local hospitals and nonprofits.
Amy & Ed have built a life together over 27 years. Outside of work, they volunteer in the WNY community, enjoy time with their daughters, and are active parishioners at Saint Gregory the Great in Williamsville.
